How easy is to learn russian?

Sometimes we hear that learn a second language is difficult, specially russian.

The first time I tried russian was a quiet difficult because the alphabet, and secondly the sounds, frankly speaking the sounds of russian language were a little difficult for me, in fact, I never heard some of them in the other languages I speak.

How difficult is to learn a new language? Well… It depends on you… right!!!

First thing, do you have enough motivation to learn a new language? All is about motivation…

Second, you need to find the time to study diligently the new language, find a good time, in the morning, in the afternoon or at night.

Third, you need to immerse in the culture and the language, hear music, watch some tv, or movies, maybe you can find someone to talk.

How much time you will need to learn russian? Well, in fact you can learn enough words and phrases to speak a basic russian in a few weeks, the alphabet in a few hours, gather enough words and have a good speaking skills maybe  a couple of months, master the language, many years.

Learning a new language can open a new world for you. A new way of thinking, different people and new friends.

But besides of all the troubles to learn a new language, you’ll feel awesome when you can understand that beautiful song, or talk to someone at the street.

You need to find your own way to learn, some people can read a book and can learn to speak, some people can learn with videos, or recordings, other people talking with someone else, maybe you have to look for some good apps or software to learn the language or maybe you’ll find that the best way for you is mixing all the previous things.

I think the best way is to mix all different approaches, find some good books, hear a lot of music, watch movies, find a good app to learn some things —I learn the cyrillic alphabet in a couple of hours using a game for kids—, and of course find someone who can talk to you.

Check some books for learning russian here.

What do you think about it? What is the best approach for you? Let me know.
